Mom had a swallow study done today in Bryan, I'm not sure why she had to have this done... I'll have to touch base with dad about it. Dad had to drive her there and back, so it was good practice for tomorrow's trip to dialysis. He has to get her in/out of the car on his own.
She was able to walk 150 feet down the hallway, rested, then walked that distance back. That's progress.
I think all the activity, having to be out in the nasty cold weather, riding in the car, and everything took its toll on her. She's been wiped out this evening and took quite a sizable nap (she might still be sleeping as I type this).
Their insurance has her staying until Thursday... they have to do an evaluation to see if she will be discharged home or if she will be staying in rehab. She still has those open wounds all over her legs/feet/hands and she isn't able to do any stairs yet. I'm hoping for her sake they clear her for another week of rehab.
Progress is good!
